Job description

Are you a maths teacher living in Tamworth or can easily access the area?

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified maths teacher to work full time at one of our amazing partner schools in B78!

 

The school are seeking a passionate, reliable and positive individual who can bring a fresh approach to their maths department.

 

The ideal candidate will:

- hold a UK QTS in Maths

- be experienced teaching maths in UK secondary schools

- have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to obtain one)

- have excellent subject knowledge and an understanding on how to teach difficult elements of the maths curriculum

- have a strong classroom presence and effective behaviour management techniques

- have previous experience supporting children with SEN

- be able to commit to a full time position for September

 

You will be responsible for:

- delivering high quality, engaging maths lessons

-catering lessons to suit individual needs within each class

- providing extra support to those pupils who require it

- regularly assessing pupils progress and providing informative feedback in a timely manner

- collaborating with colleagues in the department to devise schemes of work

 

Finer Details:

- Location: Tamworth (B78)

- Rate of Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)

Hours: Full Time (Term-time only)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
