Job description

Teaching Personnel are currently working with a Secondary School based in Crewe who are looking for a Maths Teacher to start in January, full-time. The school are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has a passion for the subject and is able to create a positive and supportive learning environment.

About the role:

  • Start-date: 5th January
  • Ongoing/long-term role with opportunity for a permanent contract
  • Full-time

As a Maths Teacher, you will be expected to plan and deliver lessons across KS3/4 and the GCSE curriculum. You will assess pupils both formally and informally, ensuring to provide written and verbal feedback. The ability to identify learning gaps and students who require additional learning support is essential. Additionally, you will contribute to the Maths department by working with the team to ensure the curriculum and lessons remain up to date, whilst also contributing to extra-curricular activities and general school community.

What we’re looking for:

  • QTS with strong background in Maths
  • Experience teaching Maths at KS3 and GCSE level (teacher training placements included)
  • Good knowledge of current teaching and behavioural management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with both students and staff
  • Strong knowledge of the curriculum and ability to plan engaging lessons
  • Adaptable and organised

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
