Maths Teacher – Stockport – Full-Time – September 2025 Start

Teaching Personnel is currently supporting a large, forward-thinking secondary school in Stockport to recruit a full-time Maths Teacher for a September 2025 start.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual to join a high-performing Maths department with an emphasis on mastery, consistency, and real-world mathematical application. The department is known for its collaborative culture and dedication to raising attainment across all key stages.

The Role:

  • Teach Mathematics to Key Stage 3 and 4, including GCSE groups following the Edexcel curriculum.

  • Use high-quality schemes of learning to deliver lessons that are inclusive, engaging, and appropriately challenging.

  • Employ data-led intervention strategies to support student progress.

  • Take part in department planning meetings, CPD sessions, and optional enrichment opportunities such as Maths Challenge or after-school tuition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create a positive learning environment that promotes resilience, reasoning, and fluency.

  • Use regular low-stakes assessments to inform differentiation and stretch.

  • Build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Contribute to raising standards in Maths and across the wider school community.

Essential Criteria:

  • QTS with a Mathematics-related degree.

  • Recent experience teaching Maths to KS3/KS4 in a UK school environment.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
