Job Title: Full-Time Secondary Maths Teacher (Temporary Cover)
Location: Stockport
Contract: Full-Time, Temporary (September 2025 – December 2025)
Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Start Date: September 2025

Are you a passionate and dedicated Maths teacher seeking an exciting opportunity in a supportive and forward-thinking school? We are currently recruiting for a fully qualified Secondary Maths teacher to join a well-regarded secondary school in Stockport on a full-time temporary basis from September 2025 to December 2025.

About the Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed professional to deliver high-quality Mathematics teaching to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Years 7–11). This role will involve full classroom responsibilities, including lesson planning, marking, assessments, and contributing to the wider school community.

The successful candidate will join a strong and collaborative Maths department that is well-resourced and focused on delivering engaging and inclusive lessons that inspire student achievement and progress.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons in line with the national curriculum

  • Teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including preparation for GCSE assessments

  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and reporting as required

  • Create a safe and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity and confidence in students

  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the department and across the wider school

  • Participate in departmental meetings, parents’ evenings, and school-wide events as required

Candidate Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Degree in Mathematics or a related subject

  • Proven experience teaching Maths at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for all students
