Maths Teacher - St Helens

An catholic secondary school based in the St Helens area, require a temporary teacher of Maths to join them after Easter to cover a maternity cover. Despite the role being temporary, they are seeking to recruit an ambitious practitioner who has exceptional subject knowledge, is innovative, drives excellence and is avialable full-time and on a long-term basis. 

The department consists of large team of KS3 and KS4 specialists who work hard to achieve a good atmosphere where staff work in collaboration with one another, support one another’s CPD and share work load. As a member of the Maths team, you will be required to participate in the all inclusive enrichment programme they offer every student, a programme of which they are proud of.

To be considered for the role you should:

• Have UK QTS with a good first degree in a Maths related subject
• Have expert knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 curriculum
• Have a good sense of humour, be able to build excellent relationships with staff and students alike
• Be an excellent communicator and be adaptable to provide an all inclusive mathematical programme
• Have excellent classroom management skills demonstrating good pace, progress and reflective learning

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
