Teacher of Maths – Shape Young Minds with Numbers

Full-time | Maternity Cover (Two Terms) | October 2025 Start
Location: Salisbury

A well-established secondary school in the heart of Salisbury is seeking a dedicated Maths Teacher to cover a period of maternity leave from October 2025 until July 2026. The successful candidate will teach Maths across KS3 and KS4 and play a key role in promoting numeracy throughout the school.

This opportunity is ideal for someone who:

  • Can break down complex mathematical concepts into accessible, relatable learning

  • Is enthusiastic about helping students gain confidence in problem-solving and logic

  • Brings positivity, structure, and clarity to their teaching

  • Enjoys working in a collaborative, outcomes-focused environment

Role responsibilities include:

  • Teaching Maths across the full ability range from Year 7 to Year 11

  • Contributing to department planning, assessments, and moderation

  • Using data effectively to support student progress

  • Supporting intervention programmes and challenge for more able students

  • Participating in enrichment activities such as Maths Challenge or STEM Club

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
