Location: Poole, Dorset

Start Date: September 2025 (or earlier by negotiation)

A thriving mainstream secondary school in Poole is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and dedicated Maths Teacher to join their team on a full-time basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate educator to deliver high-quality mathematics teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students and helping them to achieve their full potential.

They will have the ability to plan and deliver well-structured lessons that challenge, motivate, and support learners of all abilities. A strong understanding of the GCSE curriculum and a commitment to raising standards are essential.

This position would suit either an experienced teacher looking for a new challenge or an ECT seeking a supportive and welcoming school to begin their career. The school offers excellent CPD opportunities and is committed to staff development and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective Maths lessons to students in KS3 and KS4

  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress to ensure individual achievement

  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and schemes of work

  • Create a classroom environment that promotes a love of learning and high expectations

  • Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • A degree in Mathematics or a related subject

  • Strong classroom management skills

  • A commitment to inclusive education and the wider school community

  • A reflective approach to teaching and a willingness to contribute to departmental development

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
