Location: Ledbury
Salary: £166.32 – £220 per day (dependent on experience)
Start Date: 1st September 2025
Contract: Until the end of the academic year
Hours: 8:30am – 3:00pm

Teaching Personnel is proud to be working in partnership with a highly respected SEN secondary school in Ledbury. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Maths Teacher to join their committed team. This school fosters a nurturing and inclusive environment where every student is supported to reach their full potential, both academically and personally.

About the Role:

  • Deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 with a range of special educational needs, including ASD, SEMH, and MLD.
  • Plan differentiated lessons that are tailored to individual learning styles and EHCP targets.
  • Support students' academic progress through ongoing assessment and constructive feedback.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and encouraging classroom environment where all pupils feel valued.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, therapists, and fellow educators to ensure consistent and holistic support for each learner.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
  • Previous experience working within an SEN setting or with students with additional needs is highly desirable.
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (or willingness to apply).
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding Training (or willingness to complete – training provided free by Teaching Personnel).
  • Ability to provide two recent, professional references.
  • Right to work in the UK.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
