Job description

Position: Secondary Maths Teacher (KS3–KS5)
Location: Surrey


The Role

We are seeking an inspiring and dedicated Maths Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be expected to deliver engaging and challenging lessons across KS3, KS4 and, ideally, KS5. You will play an active role in raising achievement and fostering a love of mathematics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons that inspire and motivate students.

  • Teach across the full age and ability range, including preparation for GCSE and A-Level (if applicable).

  • Track and assess pupil progress, providing feedback and intervention where needed.

  • Contribute to the development of curriculum resources within the Maths department.

  • Create a classroom environment where students feel supported and challenged.

  • Participate in whole-school initiatives, extra-curricular activities, and CPD.


Person Specification

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and enthusiasm for teaching.

  • Experience teaching at KS4 (experience at KS5 is desirable but not essential).

  • High expectations of pupil achievement and behaviour.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Commitment to ongoing professional development.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
