Teaching Personnel work closely with a secondary school located along the south coast in Fareham, this independent school offers a nurturing and dynamic educational environment for pupils aged 2 to 16. With a strong emphasis on academic excellence, personal growth, and individualised support, the school provides a well-rounded education that encourages curiosity, creativity, and confidence in its learners.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and experienced teacher to make a meaningful impact within a supportive school environment. You will join a collaborative Maths department committed to inspiring a love of numeracy and helping all students achieve their potential.

 

The successful candidate will take on full teaching responsibilities, including the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging and effective Maths lessons. You will work with students across Years 10 and 11, preparing them for GCSE examinations, and ensuring that all learners are appropriately challenged and supported. Some Key Stage 3 teaching may also be required.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons to students in Key Stage 4, following the national curriculum

  • Plan, prepare and assess student work, providing feedback that supports progress

  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates all students to succeed

  • Track and monitor student achievement and implement intervention strategies when required

  • Maintain high standards of classroom management and behaviour, in line with school policies

  • Work closely with colleagues in the Maths department to share resources and best practices

  • Contribute to the wider school community and attend relevant meetings, training sessions, and events

 

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • Has experience teaching Maths at Key Stage 4 (and ideally KS3)

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education

  • Is confident in using a range of teaching strategies to support diverse learners

  • Is committed to high expectations for both behaviour and academic achievement

  • Can effectively engage, inspire and motivate students of varying abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
