Maths Teacher – Dorchester
Full-Time | Start Date January

Are you a passionate Maths Teacher looking to work in a school where relationships matter and students are truly known as individuals? A welcoming, smaller secondary school in Dorchester is seeking an enthusiastic Maths Teacher to join its committed team.

This is a school with rising expectations and improving outcomes, where pupils are now making better progress than in previous years. Staff work within a calm, purposeful environment that promotes high academic standards alongside personal development, well-being and confidence.

As a Maths Teacher, you will teach across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students build confidence, resilience and problem-solving skills while developing a strong understanding of mathematics. You will be part of a close-knit staff team that values collaboration, trust and professional judgement.

The ideal candidate should:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Teach Maths effectively at secondary level
  • Deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that motivate and challenge students
  • Build strong relationships through clear communication and positive classroom practice
  • Share a commitment to high expectations, good manners and a positive learning culture

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
