Location: Cwmbran, South Wales
 Pay Rate: £172.98 per day
 Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
 Contract: Starting October 2025 until end of academic year


About the Role

A well-regarded secondary school in the Cwmbran area are looking for a passionate and committed Mathematics Teacher to join their team from October 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire learners across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for Key Stage 5 teaching if desired.

You’ll be delivering engaging, thought-provoking lessons that build mathematical fluency, critical thinking, and confidence in applying maths to real-world scenarios. The school offers a supportive environment with strong leadership, collaborative departments, and access to professional development.

Whether you're an Early Career Teacher (ECT/NQT) or bring years of classroom experience, your enthusiasm and subject knowledge will be highly valued.


What We’re Looking for?

We welcome applications from individuals who:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and seeking a part-time opportunity to re-engage with classroom teaching
  • Completing their induction or has Cover Supervisor experience
  • Proven experience teaching Mathematics KS3/KS4 (KS5 desirable)
  • Can create an inclusive and positive learning environment
  • Possess excellent classroom management and communication skills
  • Monitor student progress and provide effective feedback

Requirements

  • Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
  • Level 2 Safeguarding training
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Two recent professional references

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
