Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Maths teacher to work in one of our incredible partner schools within Coventry.

The school are seeking someone to start as soon as possible and is confident enough to slot into their dynamic and supportive maths department!

 

Location: Coventry, CV7

Hours: Full Time

Pay: To Scale (MPS/UPS)

 

You are required to have:

- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

- An enhanced, child-only DBS on the update service

- Relevant, recent experience teaching Maths within secondary schools

- Excellent subject based knowledge of the UK Maths secondary curriculum

- Confident behaviour management skills and strong classroom presence

- The ability to be flexible but commit to a full time position if successful

- The ability to teach A-Level is an advantage but not essential

 

You will be responsible for:

- planning a range of engaging Maths lessons to year groups 7-11

- delivering innovative and dynamic maths lessons, catering to individual needs within the class

- regularly assessing pupils' progress and development

- providing pupils with regular feedback, condusive with their learning and development

- collaborating with colleagues within the department

- providing relevant support to pupils' with special educational needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
