Job description

Maths Teacher – Maternity Cover
Location: Christchurch
Start Date: February 2026

A well-regarded mainstream secondary school in Christchurch is seeking a motivated and committed Maths Teacher to join their team from February 2026 on a maternity cover basis.

This role presents an excellent opportunity to teach Mathematics across Key Stages 3 and 4 within a supportive and well-resourced department. The successful candidate will deliver engaging and effective lessons, contribute positively to the wider school community, and support students in achieving strong academic outcomes.

The school is looking for a Maths Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

  • Has experience teaching Maths at KS3 and KS4 (KS5 experience would be advantageous but is not essential)

  • Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and effective classroom management

  • Is passionate about raising attainment and inspiring students

  • Works well collaboratively within a department and wider school team

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
