An opportunity to join the Maths department of a large secondary school in Bury, with a recent track record of good GCSE results.
- Full-time Maths teacher.
- Required from January 2021.
- Paid to teaching scale point (GBP24,373 - GBP40,490).
- Ofsted graded ‘Good’ secondary school in Bury.
This position is guaranteed until the end of the academic year (July 2021) with the potential of continuing depending on the schools requirements. The successful Maths teacher will join a consistently improving Maths faculty known for its recent track record of good GCSE results.
Pupils are normally split into three sets for Mathematics and the successful teacher is expected to be confident in planning, preparing and delivering Maths lessons to meet the needs of individual learners at varying levels of learning ability. The successful teacher will be given full planning and marking responsibilities alongside a full teaching timetable across Key Stage 3 and GCSE. The incoming teacher will also be given the opportunity to collaborate with senior teachers in order to establish new activities to boost students’ attainment.
Both experienced and newly qualified Mathematics teachers are welcome to apply as relevant induction support will be provided. The incoming teacher must hold QTS alongside experience teaching Maths up to GCSE level.
The school is accessible via both the M60 and A580 from surrounding areas such as central Manchester, Bolton and Rochdale. For non-driver s, the school is also easily accessible via several public transport links from the surrounding areas of Greater Manchester.
