Maths Teacher

Teaching Personnel are seeking an excellent Maths Teacher on behalf of one of our partner schools. The successful Maths Teacher would be supported in obtaining an interview and/or trial with the school, with view for a full-time start on April 28^th, 2025.

The school are seeking a fully qualified teacher of Maths to deliver high quality teaching and learning experiences up to KS4 (essential) and KS5 (desirable) to meet the needs of their students and use a range of assessment strategies to ensure progression and achievement of all learners. With the support of the Maths department to plan and design an engaging curriculum.

Contract: Long-term, Full-Time

In order to apply you must be a qualified teacher with a degree in Mathematics or a related subject and have UK recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

General Responsibilities

• To teach students according to their educational needs, including the setting and marking of work to be carried out in school and elsewhere.
• To assess, record and report on the attendance, punctuality, progress and attainment of students.
• To ensure a high quality experience for students this meets internal and external quality standards.
• To prepare and update subject materials.
• To use a variety of delivery methods which will stimulate learning appropriate to student needs and demands of the syllabus.
• To maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s procedures, and to encourage good practice with regard to attendance, punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and homework.
• To undertake assessment of students as requested by external examination bodies, departmental and school procedures.

Pastoral Responsibilities

• To be a Form Tutor to an assigned group of students.
• To promote the general progress and well-being of individual students and of the Form Tutor Group as a whole.
• To liaise with a Head of Year to ensure the implementation of the school’s Pastoral System.
• To register students, accompany them to assemblies, encourage their full attendance at all lessons and their participation in other aspects of school life, in particular out of school hours learning opportunities.
• To apply the Behaviour for Learning Policy so that effective learning can take place.
