Type: Full-time (temporary contract)
Pay: MPS/UPS (Paid weekly via PAYE) £33,731 - £51,942
About the Role
Teaching Personnel are seeking a passionate and skilled Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Cwmbran from January 2026, on a temporary contract until August 2026.

Your Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging maths lessons across KS3 and KS4 (and potentially KS5)

Differentiate work to support learners of mixed ability, including those with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

Embed numeracy development into lessons, helping students build confidence and transferable skills

Collaborate with colleagues to share resources and best practice within the department

Contribute to curriculum planning, assessment, and extra-curricular learning opportunities

Promote high standards of behaviour, enthusiasm for learning, and mutual respect in every lesson
About You
We welcome applications from both experienced teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers (NQTs).
You’ll be:
✔️ A qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a background in Mathematics
✔️ Confident teaching across KS3–4 (KS5 desirable but not essential)
✔️ Passionate about improving pupil outcomes and developing numeracy skills
✔️ Organised, reflective, and proactive in supporting whole-school improvement
✔️ A strong communicator who thrives in collaborative team environments
Experience supporting students with ALN or working within inclusive classrooms would be advantageous.
