Maths Teacher - Bristol

Date posted : 24/10/18
£100 - £150 per annum

Job description

This vacancy has now expired. Please see similar roles below...

Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a Mathematics teacher for a large Secondary academy school in Bristol. The role is full time and starting immediately.

About the role:

This is a full time position starting immediately, and will be for at a minimum at least one term but likely to be for the whole academic year if the successful candidate is available to do so.

As this is a full time position you will be expected to fully immerse yourself into the schools Maths department and take on all the responsibilities of a teacher - this includes lesson planning, marking and other duties. These responsibilities will be reflected in your pay.

  • You must be confident to teach KS3 and KS4 - the ability to teach A Level is desirable but not a requirement as this school does not have an on site sixth form.

  • You will need QTS and NQTS are encouraged to apply.

  • A valid DBS will be required, without this you will not be able to work - Teaching Personnel can help you with applying for this if needed.
  • The pay for role is between £100-150 a day dependant on experience.

About the School:

"Our ultimate aim is to produce students who are well rounded and are suitably prepared to take their place into the dynamic local, national and international community - wherever the future takes them." - Executive Principal

The successful candidate will be joining a Cabot Learning Federation (CLF) academy school. The CLF is the largest independent academy chain in Bristol and so by joining the federation this brings opportunities for you to move within the schools in the future.

Being part of the CLF allows the school autonomy to make its own decisions, for instance, this school is trying a new experimental way of learning this year - interestingly, they are introducing the timetable for next year in the last two weeks of this academic year.

The school sets high standard for pupils and teachers alike, encouraging all in the school environment to strive for success and reach their full potential. The academy has recently undergone structural changes recently with both the introduction of 'Learning Zones' and the 'Ready to Learn' policy.

The 'Ready to Learn' policy has been positively received by both staff and pupils, the standards of behaviour have dramatically increased since its introduction and the pupils attitude to learning has also changed for the better.

Why work with us...

There are many benefits to working with us at Teaching Personnel:

  • You will have a Personal Recruitment Consultant dedicated to finding you work.
  • Access to our CPD training academy - this includes extremely useful courses such as 'Team Teach' which schools are looking for more and more these days.
  • Weekly Pay - paid directly into your bank account.
  • We deal with all the time sheets behind the scenes so all you have to do is turn up to work and let us sort the rest!!
  • Refer a Friend scheme

Please apply early to avoid disappointment. I look forward to hearing from you.
