Reception Maths Support assistant needed for a 'GOOD' primary school in the Bury (BL8) area

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a 'GOOD' primary school in the Bury (BL8) area. Teaching Personnel are working with a client primary school who need a teaching assistant with a specialism in Maths to support the reception class.

  • Salary from £55 - £65
  • Starting date - September 4th 2018

This large Bury primary school wants to develop a greater range of Maths activities in the class room as they have identified gaps with in the reception class. The Head teacher is looking for a teaching assistant who can come in and plan different activities to raise attainment in Mathematics. You will also be leading small group and 1:1 interventions with pupils in the classroom that are further behind than the rest of the class.

The Ideal candidate will have/be:

  • A specialism in mathematics or class room experience using intervention sessions
  • A confident and outgoing personality and commitment to working for the full year
  • A practising Catholic or be able to work and support a Catholic ethos within the school

The role will be full time and is to start in September 2018 and run until the end of the academic year. To apply for this role, you must have school based experience or have a specialism in Mathematics.
