Maths Lead – Secondary School – High Peak Area – September 2025 Start

Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in the High Peak areato recruit a talented and driven Maths Leadto join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching and the ambition to lead a high-performing department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategic development of the Maths curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)

• Support, mentor and manage a team of Maths teachers, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs)

• Use data to track pupil progress and implement strategies to raise attainment and close learning gaps

• Deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire a love for Maths

• Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school improvement and pupil outcomes

• Organise enrichment opportunities, including maths competitions and targeted interventions

Essential Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in teaching Maths

• Proven experience of improving pupil progress and attainment

• Leadership or middle management experience within a school setting (e.g. Second in Department)

• Excellent communication, organisational and team leadership skills

• A commitment to inclusive education and high expectations for all learners
