Maths Lead – Secondary School – High Peak Area – September 2025 Start
Are you an experienced Maths teacher ready to take the next step in your career?
Teaching Personnel is working in partnership with a highly regarded secondary school in the High Peak areato recruit a talented and driven Maths Leadto join their team from September 2025. This is a full-time, permanent role, ideal for a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching and the ambition to lead a high-performing department.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Lead the strategic development of the Maths curriculum across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 desirable)
-
Support, mentor and manage a team of Maths teachers, including Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
-
Use data to track pupil progress and implement strategies to raise attainment and close learning gaps
-
Deliver engaging and effective lessons that inspire a love for Maths
-
Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to whole-school improvement and pupil outcomes
-
Organise enrichment opportunities, including maths competitions and targeted interventions
Essential Requirements:
-
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong background in teaching Maths
-
Proven experience of improving pupil progress and attainment
-
Leadership or middle management experience within a school setting (e.g. Second in Department)
-
Excellent communication, organisational and team leadership skills
-

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
