Maths Graduate TA - Manchester

Are you looking to gain classroom based experienced before going on to your PGCE?

Are you a Maths Graduate looking to work as a TA in a secondary school, before pursuing a career a teacher?

Teaching Personnel are the leading recruitment agency for Education, covering England and Wales. Our Manchester Secondary office is located in Manchester city centre, and services 70% of secondary school across Greater Manchester. Our client secondary school, located in central South Manchester, is seeking a Maths Graduate to work as a TA within the Maths department. This Maths TA position is for a full time, on going position, with the opportunity to start immediately and work in school for the summer term, or start in September.

The co-educational secondary school is located in central South Manchester, and boasts ultra modern facilities with various purpose built departments. The Good Ofsted graded secondary school offers broad an and varied curriculum, as well as a range of extra curricular activities. The purpose of this is to help pupils find and pursue their passions, encouraging pupils to develop personally and grow in confidence outside the classroom. Pupils and teachers enjoy a friendly and respectful working relationship, keeping challenging behaviour within the classroom to a minimum.

Main Points of Maths TA Position:

  • School seeking a Maths Graduate to work as a TA
  • Flexible start date (immediate or September)
  • Pay rate £275 - £300 per week
  • Full time on going position
  • Good Ofsted graded school

As a Maths TA, you will be supporting in the Maths department across all year groups. You will be supporting the classroom teacher, working with smaller groups of pupils in the classroom. In addition to this, you will be working with pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis outside the classroom, providing intervention and academic support.
