Salary: £450 - £550 per week
Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-time, long-term placement or day to day work.
Teaching Personnel is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and high-achieving secondary school in Durham to recruit a passionate and dedicated Maths Graduate. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and supportive Maths department, where you will play a key role in inspiring students and raising attainment in mathematics.
The opportunity:
• Cover Supervision/Learning Support Assistant
• September 2025 start
• Hold / predicted a maths degree (or related) with a 2:2 or above
• Full-time role, Monday - Friday. Would also accept Part time
• £450 -£550 per week pro rata - term time only
• Chance to gain invaluable classroom experience before teacher training
The successful graduate must:
• A recent graduate with a degree in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
• A strong understanding of mathematical concepts and curriculum content.
• Experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, enthusiasm, and the ability to engage and motivate students.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a teaM
• A passion for education and helping students succeed
Key responsibilities for your role:
• Support classroom activities and assist in delivering Mathematics lessons to students of various age groups and abilities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group tuition to students who need additional help, either inside or outside of class time.
• Assist in the preparation of teaching materials and resources.
• Help to monitor and assess students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
• Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support students with homework and assignments.
• Assist with administrative duties related to student progress tracking and classroom organisation.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
