Job Title: Maths and English Tutor 1:1

Location:

East of England, Bedfordshire, Bedford

Salary:

£25.00 - £30.00 Per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated Maths and English Tutor to provide 1:1 support to students in the East of England, specifically in Bedfordshire, Bedford. As a Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality tutoring sessions to help students improve their Maths and English skills.

Job Duties:

  • Plan and deliver tailored Maths and English tutoring sessions for individual students
  • Assess students' learning needs and develop personalised learning plans
  • Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their understanding and skills
  • Maintain accurate records of students' progress and achievements
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues

Required Qualifications:

  • A relevant degree in Maths, English, Education, or a related field
  • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, etc.)
  • Proven experience in tutoring Maths and English to students

Degree in Maths, English, Education, or related field

Experience:

Proven experience in tutoring Maths and English

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong understanding of Maths and English curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet individual student needs
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in teaching or tutoring
  • Experience working with students with diverse learning needs

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
