Are you a Mathematics teacher wishing to secure an introduction to your next full-time Mathematics teaching position for the remainder of the academic year? Would you be interested in joining a secondary school that was graded 'Outstanding' in a recent Mathematics Ofsted report?

If so, then please see further details of an exciting Maths position below;

  • Mathematics teacher required - Full-time position, commencing after the Easter break (or sooner if possible).
  • Temporary contract for the remainder of the academic year in the first instance.
  • Pay in line with MPS/UPS standards (£23,720 - £39,406) *experience dependent.
  • Planning and marking responsibilities included with this role.

Following a recent review of the Mathematics department, the Head of Mathematics within our client secondary school has highlighted the need for another full-time teacher to alleviate pressure from current staff members, and to ensure the students are receiving the best support. This is an excellent opportunity to join a school that prides themselves on achieving excellence for all pupils.

Due to the excellent leadership in place within the Mathematics department, the school are open to applicants of all experience levels.

This 11-16 secondary school have a large Mathematics department made up of 8 other members of staff. Located on the outskirts of Wigan town centre, the school is easily accessible from the surrounding areas; St Helens, Leigh, Warrington, Chorley and Bolton. On site parking is available to all staff and the facilities in school are state of the art, building developments in 2015 have given classrooms a modern look with excellent resources. There are just over 950 pupils on roll in school with a lower than average number of pupils who speak English as an additional language.
