KS1 Teacher
Are you an experienced, passionate KS1 Teacher looking for a temporary teaching role?
Teaching Personnel are recruiting a KS1 Primary Teacher for a maternity cover position, starting after the October half term within the Tameside area. The school have said this cover will be needed for between 9-12 months. The ideal candidate will need to be resilient, adaptable and supportive to cater to the needs and demands of the children within the cohort.

Job Type: Maternity Cover Teacher
Salary: £130-180 per day
Start date: Monday 3rd November 2025
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 1 (experience of teaching phonics is desirable)
- Assess and monitor pupil progress to ensure every child reaches their potential
- Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
- Collaborate with staff, parents, and leadership to support pupil development
- Maintain accurate records of assessment in line with school’s policies
- Contribute to the school community during the maternity cover period
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching KS1 pupils and strong knowledge of the KS1 curriculum
- Experience of teaching children with SEND/medical needs
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Commitment to supporting children’s academic and personal growth
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
