Makaton trained Learning Support Assistant

Are you Makaton or Sign Along trained?

Have you got previous experience supporting children or adults?

Teaching Personnel are looking to recruit a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant to work with a Foundation Phase pupil with speech and communication difficulties. The succesful candidate will have previous experience supporting pupils/adults with communication difficulties and would ideally have either Sign Along or Makaton qualification.

Applicants must:

• Be able to communicate efficiently through the Medium of Welsh.
• Have the legal right to work in the UK
• Hold a Child Workforce Only DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one - full assistance provided.
• Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (compulsory requirement in Wales) -please note that if you are living in England, you can still register with the EWC which will give you the opportunity to work on both sides of the border
• Provide at least two professional or character references
• Be available to start on short notice
