Teaching Personnel have a new and exciting opportunity for you to work alongside a school based in Maidenhead as a Teaching Assistant. If you believe you are an enthusiastic, pro-active and caring person towards children and young people and have a natural passion for making a difference in education, then this could be the position for you!

This fantastic specialist school caters for children and young people from the ages of 2-19 with a range of complex special educational needs. The school offers outstanding education and therapy from a wide range of professionals. They aim to provide a structured and secure learning environment to enable all their children and young people to achieve their full potential.

What are my roles and responsibilities?

-          To support the Teacher in any class environment.

-          To provide support for learning activities across all areas of the national curriculum

               and to provide feedback to the teacher on pupil progress with objectives and tasks.

-          To implement agreed behaviour management strategies to promote positive

               Behaviour.

-          Assist with the assessment, monitoring and recording of pupil progress and positive and negative behaviours.

-          To assist in creating resources and any classroom preparation needed day to day.

-          Adhere to all policies and procedures.

Person Specification:

-          Excellent planning and organisational skills.

-          Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

-          Good levels of literacy and numeracy.

-          Have a pro-active and enthusiastic attitude.

-          Have the ability to communicate sympathetically with children, young people and their families.

-          Have a flexible and adaptable approach to different situations.

-          Enhanced DBS check on Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
