Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Crosby)

Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Crosby, who are seeking a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from October 2025 to cover a maternity leave.

This is a full-time role, Monday to Friday, and will run for the duration of the academic year. The successful candidate will work across Key Stage 1, supporting both the class teacher and children with a range of abilities, including those with additional needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide in-class support to pupils and assist with group activities

• Deliver targeted interventions to boost attainment in reading, writing, and maths

• Support children with special educational needs (SEN) as directed by the class teacher or SENCO

• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment

• Assist with preparation of learning materials and classroom displays

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold a Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent)

• Have recent experience working in a primary school setting

• Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach

• Be adaptable, enthusiastic, and committed to supporting pupil progress

• Have (or be willing to apply for) an enhanced DBS on the Update Service

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
