Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant
Job description
Teaching Personnel is working closely with a welcoming and inclusive school in Durham that is on the lookout for a Level 3 qualified SEND Teaching Assistant. This role involves providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs.

Your role will include:
- Supporting students with a range of SEND needs (such as Autism, ADHD, and SEMH)
- Assisting in the delivery of EHCP objectives and tailored support plans
- Developing positive, trusting relationships with pupils, colleagues, and families
- Celebrating small victories that lead to long-term progress
We’re looking for someone with:
- A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
- Experience working with SEND pupils, ideally within a school environment
- A calm, compassionate attitude and nurturing approach
- Strong communication skills, resilience, and a good sense of humour

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
