Job description

Are you a confident and compassionate Level 3 Teaching Assistant looking to make a meaningful impact in a dynamic school environment? We are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Level 3 TA to join a thriving school community in Brent this September.

With a reputation for excellence in support provision and behaviour, the school prides itself on fostering positive relationships and delivering targeted interventions to help every child succeed.

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils both within and outside the classroom, working closely with teachers, SEN staff, and school leaders. Whether assisting in a mainstream classroom or providing 1:1 or small group support, you will be instrumental in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Support the teaching and learning of pupils across KS1–KS4, ensuring all learners have access to the curriculum
• Provide 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, EAL, or additional needs, following EHCPs and behaviour plans
• Deliver targeted academic and emotional interventions under the guidance of the SENCO and class teacher
• Contribute to planning and preparing learning materials and resources as directed
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation in line with school policy
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress, achievements, and incidents where appropriate
• Support the class teacher in creating a positive and productive learning environment
• Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate Will:
• Hold a recognised Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
• Have proven experience supporting children in a UK school setting, ideally within a primary or secondary phase
• Be confident managing behaviour and fostering pupil engagement across a range of abilities
• Demonstrate excellent communication, patience, and emotional intelligence
• Be proactive, reliable, and committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
• Be confident in working collaboratively with staff, parents, and other professionals
• Be flexible, adaptable, and eager to contribute to the wider life of the school

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
