Level 3 Early Years Practitioner and/or Room Leader – Wokingham

We are seeking a qualified Level 3 Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive nursery in Finchampstead, Wokingham. For experienced candidates looking to take the next step in their career, we are also recruiting for a Room Leader position, offering the chance to progress into a leadership role within the nursery.
The Role
As a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner, you will:
- Create and maintain a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment for children, ensuring compliance with nursery policies and staff-to-child ratios.
- Support children's learning and development through engaging, play-based experiences.
- Build positive and professional relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Observe, assess, and record children's progress, maintaining accurate and high-quality documentation.
- Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times, completing risk assessments, hazard logs, and relevant paperwork as required.
- Support the settling-in process for new children, working closely with parents, carers, and team members to ensure a smooth and positive transition.
What We're Looking For
- A full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (essential).
- A good understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Previous experience working within a nursery or childcare setting (essential).
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A Paediatric First Aid qualification, or willingness to undertake the training.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
