About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and nurturing Infant and Nursery School in DE24. Starting in September, this is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a setting that values creativity, curiosity, and outdoor learning.

You will play a key role in supporting children’s development within a nature-inspired, child-centred environment, working closely with teachers and leadership to deliver high-quality early years education.

About the Setting

• Nursery sessions:
• Morning: 8:30am – 11:30am
• Afternoon: 12:30pm – 3:30pm
• Dedicated rooms for:
• 2-year-olds
• 3–4-year-olds
• Strong focus on natural materials and Forest School approaches
• Warm, inclusive, and community-focused environment

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of engaging, age-appropriate activities across the EYFS
• Assist with the care, supervision, and development of children aged 2–4
• Work collaboratively with teachers and senior leaders
• Encourage a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
• Support children’s social, emotional, and educational development
• Help with observations, assessments, and maintaining records
• Promote outdoor learning and exploration

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a Level 3 Early Years or Teaching Assistant qualification
• Have strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
• Be caring, honest, enthusiastic, and engaging
• Be passionate about early years education
• Have experience working in a nursery or early years setting
• Be confident supporting children with a range of needs and abilities
• Have an interest in outdoor learning and nature-based play

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
