Level 3 Nursery Nurse / EYFS Practitioner

The Headteacher of a reputable Primary School in Chorley are looking for a Level 3 EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their oversubscribed Nursery Class within the school. This is a full-time opportunity working alongside professionals who are passionate about working within Early Years. This is a new role in school and is due to begin from Monday 1st September 2025 and is due to carry on until May 2026. The working hours for this role are 8:45-15:15 Monday-Friday term time only. This role has been created as the school have a permanent staff member going on maternity leave. Senior Leaders and staff pride themselves in having positive relationships with parents and the wider community. This is a lovely welcoming community school and the Headteacher is driven to provide a stimulating and creative learning environment for our youngest pupils. The school boasts excellent facilities for continuous provision and a newly refurbished out-door learning area.

 

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 3 qualification in Childcare and Education.
  • Experience of working alongside children within the EYFS and planning and delivering around the EYFS curriculum.
  • Experience of observing, monitoring and recording the development of children.
  • Strong communication skills whilst working within a team and confidence working within a busy working environment.
  • Confident liaising with parents of young children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
