Level 3 Childcare Practitioner – Yeovil
Start Date: September 2026 (earlier start available)
Pay: £90–£94 per day
We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Level 3 Childcare Practitioner to join a welcoming school based in Milborne Port, Yeovil. This opportunity is open to both experienced practitioners and newly qualified candidates looking to begin or continue their career within Early Years education.
This role will be based within the nursery provision located within the school, supporting young children in a nurturing and engaging Early Years environment.
The successful candidate will be forward-thinking, proactive, and confident supporting young pupils within an EYFS setting. A strong understanding of the EYFS framework and a nurturing approach to child development are essential.
The Role:
- Supporting children within the school’s nursery setting
- Creating a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment
- Working closely with teaching staff to support pupils’ development and wellbeing
- Using initiative to adapt activities and support individual needs
- Promoting learning through play and structured activities
Requirements:
- Ideally hold a Level 3 Childcare/Early Years qualification
- Good understanding of the EYFS framework
- Confident supporting young learners
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
- Willingness to comply with Teaching Personnel vetting requirements, including:
- Safeguarding training
- Thrive training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
