Level 2 Teaching Assistant

Qualifications:

Teaching Assisting Level 2

 

Job Duties:

  • Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons
  • Assisting with classroom management and behaviour of students
  • Providing one-on-one support to students who require additional help
  • Preparing and organising learning materials and resources
  • Assessing and recording student progress and achievements
  • Communicating effectively with teachers, parents, and other professionals

Required Qualifications:

  • Teaching Assisting Level 2 qualification

Education:

Minimum of Teaching Assisting Level 2 qualification

Experience:

Previous experience in a teaching assistant role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good understanding of child development and learning processes
  • Organisational skills and ability to multitask

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications in education or childcare

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a classroom setting within a school environment
  • Full-time hours with occasional overtime may be required
  • Interact with students, teachers, and parents on a daily basis

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
