Level 2 / Level 3 Teaching Assistant – EYFS (Full-Time)
Start Date: May | Duration: Until End of Academic Year (Potential Extension)
Pay: £14.25 per hour | Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (30-minute lunch break)
Teaching Personnel are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant to support an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting, working primarily within a Reception class.
This is a full-time opportunity starting in May and running through to the end of the academic year, with a strong possibility of the role being extended into the next academic year for the right candidate.
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the class teacher and contributing to a nurturing, engaging, and structured learning environment for young learners. The successful candidate will be confident working within Reception and have a strong understanding of early childhood development and EYFS frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting teaching and learning within a Reception classroom
- Delivering targeted phonics sessions and supporting early literacy development
- Assisting with planning and implementing engaging activities in line with EYFS curriculum
- Monitoring and recording pupil progress using online assessment tools
- Providing one-to-one or small group support where required
- Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment
Essential Requirements
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
- Proven experience working within an EYFS setting, particularly Reception
- Experience delivering phonics sessions (e.g. Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds, or similar)
- Familiarity with online assessment tools such as 2Simple or Tapestry
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A proactive and adaptable approach to supporting young learners
