Primary Teaching Assistant (Level 1–3) – North Sheffield

Location: North Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP 
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)
Pay: £90–£100 per day (depending on experience and qualification level)

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a number of primary schools across North Sheffield who are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Level 1–3 Teaching Assistants to join their friendly teams.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development in a welcoming and inclusive school environment.


The Role:

As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you’ll work under the guidance of the class teacher to support children across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. You may assist individual pupils, small groups, or the whole class to help ensure that every child can access learning and reach their potential.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, inclusive lessons.

  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to provide targeted learning support.

  • Foster positive relationships and encourage pupil confidence and independence.

  • Help prepare classroom resources and assist with lesson delivery.

  • Promote good behaviour and uphold school values and routines.

  • Support pupils’ social and emotional development throughout the school day.


About You:

  • Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, 2 or 3) or relevant school-based experience.

  • A positive and caring attitude, with a genuine passion for working with children.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

  • Adaptability to work across different year groups and support varying needs.

  • Commitment to helping pupils thrive both academically and personally.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
