Primary PPA Teacher – North Sheffield

Location: North Sheffield, South Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP or January 2026
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time (flexible)
Pay: £120–£200 per day (depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and adaptable Primary Teacher looking for a rewarding role without the full planning and marking workload? Teaching Personnel are working with a number of welcoming and supportive primary schools across North Sheffield who are seeking a dedicated PPA Cover Teacher to join their teams.


The Role:

As a Primary PPA Teacher, you’ll provide high-quality teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2, covering lessons during teachers’ Planning, Preparation and Assessment (PPA) time. You’ll deliver engaging lessons following pre-set plans and help maintain a positive learning environment for all pupils.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys teaching a variety of year groups and subjects, and who thrives on building relationships across the whole school community.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and effective lessons across a range of subjects and key stages.

  • Follow lesson plans provided by class teachers.

  • Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.

  • Provide feedback to class teachers on pupil progress and engagement.

  • Support pupils’ academic and personal development.


About You:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) required.

  • Experience teaching across primary year groups (EYFS, KS1, KS2).

  • Strong classroom management and communication skills.

  • Flexible, enthusiastic and reliable approach.

  • Passion for supporting the learning and development of young children.
