Lecturer – Supported Learning – Further Education College – Cambridge
Location: Cambridge
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Our client, a well-regarded further education college based in Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate Lecturer in Supported Learning to join their inclusive Learning Support department from September 2025.

This is a rewarding opportunity to work with learners who have a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), supporting their academic progress, independence, and personal development in a nurturing environment. The college prides itself on promoting equality, diversity, and a learner-centred approach across all programmes.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, CertEd, or equivalent)

  • Have experience teaching or supporting learners with SEND in a further education or similar setting

  • Be knowledgeable about EHCPs, inclusive pedagogy, and adaptive teaching strategies

  • Demonstrate strong communication, empathy, and behaviour management skills

  • Be passionate about supporting learners to achieve their personal and educational goals

  • Work well as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote holistic learner success
