Job description

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs? Are you ready to make a real difference in a young person’s life?

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join a specialist SEN provision. You will play a vital role in helping children thrive both academically and personally, through a blend of 1:1 support and small group interventions.

What You'll Do:

  • Work closely with pupils with a range of additional needs, supporting them in both academic learning and life skills development.
  • Deliver and support structured interventions in literacy, numeracy, and social skills.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to support individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working in education, ideally within an SEN setting.
  • A resilient, patient and adaptable approach to supporting learners with complex needs.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families.
  • A team player who is proactive, empathetic and committed to making a difference.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
