Teaching Personnel are proud to be working with a small, trauma-informed secondary school dedicated to supporting pupils with additional needs. We are seeking experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) who are resilient, adaptable, and committed to nurturing student wellbeing and academic progress.
About the School:

Specialises in supporting pupils who have experienced trauma, school refusal, and those with high-functioning autism.

A nurturing and structured environment that uses trauma-informed approaches to education.

Pupils can often appear unsettled and require calm, confident adults who can support them effectively through relational practice and clear boundaries.
Your Role:
-
Supporting students on a 1:1 basis and in small groups within the classroom.

Helping students to re-engage with their education by providing consistent, structured support.

Working alongside teaching and pastoral teams to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Responding flexibly to changes in student behaviour or emotional needs.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with pupils with additional needs, particularly those with trauma backgrounds, ASC, and challenging behaviours.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage emotionally dysregulated behaviour with empathy and professionalism.

Strong sense of boundaries and consistency to support emotional development and learning.

Someone who can adapt quickly to the changing needs of the school and its students.

A commitment to full-time, term-time work with the aim of securing a long-term, potentially permanent position.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
