Are you someone who loves working with children and wants to make a real difference in their lives?

A friendly and supportive primary school in Southampton is looking for a full-time Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This role is all about helping children who may find school a bit more challenging and need some extra guidance with their emotions and behaviour.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting children one-to-one or in small groups

  • Helping them stay on track with learning and manage their emotions

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SEND team

  • Creating a calm and positive environment in the classroom

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience (personal or professional) supporting children or young people with additional needs – this might be in a school, care, medical, or home setting

  • A calm, caring and patient approach

  • A DBS on the Update Service (or be happy to apply for one)

  • Someone happy to complete Teaching Personnel’s vetting process during the summer holidays

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a rewarding, term-time only role that fits around family life or other commitments. If all goes well, you’ll have the chance to move from an agency contract to being directly employed by the school.

Interested? We’d love to hear from you! Apply now to get started.
