Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

Learning Support Assistant Required

Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Yate area. This is a full-time, term-time only position, ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young people and making a positive difference in education.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to provide both academic and pastoral support, helping students to engage with their learning and achieve their full potential.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or have equivalent relevant experience.
• Have a genuine passion for working with children and young people.
• Be nurturing, empathetic, and patient in their approach.
• Be proactive and able to use their initiative.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Be committed to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• Be motivated by the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting pupils in the classroom on a one-to-one and small-group basis.
• Assisting with the delivery of lessons and learning activities.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
• Providing emotional and pastoral support where required.
• Working collaboratively with teaching staff to support student progress.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
