SEN Teaching Assistant

Teaching Personnel are requiring an SEN Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with additonal needs. This would be to start ASAP and would potentially be until the end of the academic year (with a possibility of progressing onto contract). 

The Role

• The student that you will be working with requires support with their social and emotional development. They require full time support during the school day including classroom sessions, on school trips and out of classroom learning.
• You will be working with the pupil on a 1:1 basis. You will work in small intervention sessions to provide a unique and comfortable learning environment.

Successful Candidate

• Can offer previous Teaching Assistant experience or child based experience of a relevant age group.
• Previous Experience working with a child with SEN would be advantageous but the role is open to any teaching assistants who would like to develop their SEN knowledge.
• A knowledge or understanding of SEN needs.
• A confident approach to working with children
• An educational background
• An enthusiasm to learn and develop professionally
• An enhanced DBS Teaching Personnel can assist with this.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
