Role: Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Contract: Full-time & day-to-day opportunities available
Teaching Personnel are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and experienced Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) to work across primary schools in Loughborough from September 2026.
We are looking for candidates with SEN experience who are confident supporting pupils both on a 1:1 basis and within small-group interventions. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you may be supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to engage with lessons, develop their confidence and make progress academically and socially.
Responsibilities may include:
- Providing 1:1 support to pupils with SEN and additional needs
- Delivering and supporting small-group interventions
- Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning
- Supporting pupils with their social, emotional and academic development
- Helping to manage behaviour positively and effectively
- Working closely with teachers and the wider school team
- Adapting support to meet individual pupils' needs
- Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils
About You
We would love to hear from you if you:
- Have previous experience working with children in a school, nursery or similar setting
- Have experience supporting pupils with SEN
- Are confident providing both 1:1 and small-group support
- Are patient, caring and approachable
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are passionate about supporting children's learning and development
- Are reliable, adaptable and able to build positive relationships
