Learning Support Assistant

Job description

A rural/ suburban school in the quaint town of Chipping Sodbury is looking for an LSA to support pupils with mild SEN (mainly learning difficulties and autism). These pupils can show signs of challenging behaviour but this is down to frustrations and their condition, not social or emotional reasons.

You will need to have a good degree with a solid academic record in maths and English OR sound education or teaching assistant experience OR good SEN experience in or out of education.

This school is OFSTED requires improvement but has been lauded for its fantastic SEN provision and support in pupil welfare. This is a full-time role to start immediately. In return you will get excellent experience and this is absolutely perfect if you are considering a PGCE in the future.

All applicants will require the appropriate qualification and training for this role. For teacher roles, we require a formally recognised teaching qualification. For Support staff our minimum requirement is GCSE English & Maths (A-C) or equivalent.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay.
