Learning Support Assistant- Wythenshawe

Teaching Personnel have been approached by our partner primary school in Wythenshawe for a Learning Support Assistant. This Learning Support Assistant position is required to start immediately and will be until Christmas initially. However, there is the possibility of an extension for the successful Learning Support Assistant:

Specific duties-

• Supporting the KS1 and Early Years teams by planning, preparing and delivering intervention sessions.
• Working independently to deliver planned learning experiences for the children.
• Adapting sessions to suit the different learning styles and taking account of the children's progress.
• Developing positive learning interactions that provide success for all children and impact positively on self-esteem.

Due to an upcoming planned absence within the KS1 and Early Years team, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Learning Support Assistant to join a popular primary school in South Manchester.

The school are ideally seeking a Learning Support Assistant with experience of working with special educational needs and an understanding of the KS1 and/or Early Years Curriculum.

Our partner primary school enjoys an excellent reputation and as a result is one of the largest in Manchester with over 600 pupils currently on roll. Almost all of the pupils are from White British heritage. Due to the large cohort, the numbers of pupils eligible for the pupil premium funding are higher than the national average.

It is located within South Manchester which offers excellent accessibility to the areas of Wythenshawe, Stockport and Tameside via the M60 motorway. It is also situated close to the M56 which offers direct access to Altrincham, Timperley and Sale. For those requiring public transport, there are direct bus links from as far as Manchester city centre.
