At Teaching Personnel, we work closely with a number of Primary schools in the Worthing area and neighbouring parts of West Sussex. Our aim is to recruit enthusiastic and driven individuals to take on the roles of Learning support assistants, ensuring that the educator and pupils are supported to achieve great learning outcomes. 

Job role 

  • Monday to Friday 8:30-3:30 (Term time only)
  • Assisting the educator with classroom activities 
  • Working on a 1:1 or small group basis to assist pupils who need additional support
  • Confidently manage behaviour 
  • Lead by example for the pupils 
  • Working as part of a team to ensure that engaging learning experiences are delivered. 
  • Working with children with SEN where required. 

The ideal candidate 

  • Have experience working in education/childcare or the care sector
  • Ability to build rapport with staff and pupils 
  • Ability to manage behaviour
  • Be able to assist children's learning by breaking down learning activities.
  • Be confident working 1:1 or in a small group with pupils who need additional support 
  • Comfortable working with SEN 
  • Have a child DBS on the update service (or willing to complete a new one) 
  • Have the minimum of 5 GCSE pass grades

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
