Your Role as an Individual Needs Assistant

You will be providing tailored 1:1 and small group support to pupils with special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and develop vital social and emotional skills. Working closely with class teachers and support staff, you'll play a key role in encouraging confidence, independence, and positive behaviour.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting pupils with additional learning and behavioural needs

  • Assisting children with emotional regulation and promoting inclusion

  • Helping to implement personalised support strategies

  • Encouraging participation and engagement in class and during breaktimes

  • Monitoring pupil progress and sharing feedback with staff and parents


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting children with SEN (or a relevant qualification – desirable)

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Commitment to inclusive, child-centred education

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
