Learning support worker

Are you seeking a rewarding role within education?

At Teaching Personnel, we work alongside multiple Primary schools in the Worthing and Littlehampton areas, as well as the surrounding areas of West Sussex to ensure they are provided with high quality support staff. As a Learning support worker, you will be providing a high level of assistance to the educator with classroom activities and ensuring pupil attainment, whilst supporting pupils with their learning progress. In this role, you are expected to be confident managing behaviour and have the ability to assist pupils who have additional learning needs when required.

Role summary:

  • Term time working only.
  • Monday- Friday
  • £385-£425 per week

Role requirements

  • Experience working with children.
  • Confident with working alongside children with additional needs
  • Confident in managing behaviour.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Minimum 5 GCSE pass grades
  • NVQ Level 3 in childcare and education/caring for children/assisting Teaching in Schools or Early years (not essential)
  • DBS registered to the update service (Teaching Personnel can help with this)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
